Safeguarding

White Trees School

We fully recognise and understand that; “Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children....School and college staff are particularly important as they are in a position to identify concerns early, and provide help for children, to prevent concerns from escalating. Schools and colleges should work with social care, the police, health services and other services to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.” (‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ July 2015)

All White Trees staff are responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students. They take the responsibility of minimising risk and they work together with other agencies to ensure adequate arrangements are in place within our school to identify, assess, and support those children who are suffering harm.
Our school is a community and all those directly connected (staff, all professionals working with our students, where applicable parents, and the students themselves) share in the safeguarding process. We always welcome suggestions and comments which contribute to this process.
